Operations and Infrastructure Services
Overview
OIS exists to provide the MIT community with fundamental IT services, including Telephony, MITnet, and network based applications such as email, calendar, and VoIP; Co-location and server operations services for IS&T and DLCs including database administration, SAN storage, and backup and recovery; and Data center planning
OIS also supports the MIT community with long term and strategic planning for these services. These services support the full range of academic, research, and administrative activities. The OIS teams work collaboratively with all other IS&T teams to ensure the highest level of support and service to MIT's students, faculty, and staff.
