As announced in a community email in July, a quota for MIT Dropbox accounts goes into effect on October 1, 2018. Each MIT Dropbox account now includes 200GB of storage free of charge.
Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) recommends that everyone in the MIT community who uses Dropbox check their Dropbox usage before October 1 and take action if needed. Options include:
- Reduce your Dropbox usage
- Move to a paid MIT Dropbox plan for additional storage space
- Move to alternative solutions, such as Office 365 and Google G-Suite. For details, see the Data Storage and Collaboration Options page in the Knowledge Base.
