MATLAB 7.14 (also known as R2012a) has been installed on Athena. Many of the Toolboxes have been updated (use the MATLAB "ver" command for versions). As before, the lpsolve linear programming solver and Maple Toolbox have been added to the locker.
A new set of emacs modes is available in the newemacs/matlab-emacs subdirectory; see the MATLAB/emacs Integration page for information.
Use and Support
To run 7.14 now, enter:
matlab -ver 7.14
IS&T intends to make this version the default after the end of the current term.
If you encounter problems or bugs, send mail to the email@example.com mailing list.
Note: As per the Mathworks Software Roadmap, R2012a will be the last MATLAB release for 32-bit Linux systems.
