MATLAB 7.14 (R2012a) Now Installed on Athena

MATLAB 7.14 (also known as R2012a) has been installed on Athena. Many of the Toolboxes have been updated (use the MATLAB "ver" command for versions). As before, the lpsolve linear programming solver and Maple Toolbox have been added to the locker.

A new set of emacs modes is available in the newemacs/matlab-emacs subdirectory; see the MATLAB/emacs Integration page for information.

Use and Support
To run 7.14 now, enter:

       add matlab
       matlab -ver 7.14

IS&T intends to make this version the default after the end of the current term.

Release notes are available at the Mathworks website or in the internal help system. Mathworks has also posted a Latest Features page.You can view lpsolve documentation online.

Note: As per the Mathworks Software Roadmap, R2012a will be the last MATLAB release for 32-bit Linux systems.
