IS&T has upgraded the wireless network in approximately 50 percent of the academic and administrative buildings on campus.
Certificates are your key to secure web services at MIT – including ECAT, SAPweb and SAPweb Self Service, and WebSIS. Personal certificates expire by default each July 31, and renewal is not automatic. Personal certificates obtained starting June 2009 are good until July 31, 2010.
IS&T strongly recommends that members of the MIT community prepare in advance for the possibility that they may need to connect to campus from home or another off-campus location.
The new MIT Regional Optical Network provides connectivity to key Internet exchange points with speeds beyond 10 Gbps, the equivalent of transmitting 10 full-length, high-definition movies in 30 seconds.
