The ITSS Team
The mission of the IT Security ServicesTeam (ITSS) is to assist and collaborate with MIT administrative, academic, and student communities to assess, implement, and maintain information security needs.
Services
- Increase awareness of IT security issues, challenges and threats through diverse outreach approaches
- Detect, respond to, and help victims recover from intrusions and data disclosure incidents
- Anticipate IT security implications of emerging IT tools and uses
- Track, respond to, and follow up on DMCA notifications and subpoenas
- Provide compliance guidelines relating to legal rulings on information security
- Respond to complaints on violations, harassment and uncivil behavior using IT resources
- Publish, maintain and review IT policies
