TSM Backup Service: Register For a TSM Account

Below are the steps for registering for a TSM Backup account.

Step 1: Get an MIT certificate if you don't already have one.

Step 2: Decide:

if you want to do your backups manually or if you want them scheduled and done automatically for you.
which service level you want.

Step 3: If you are using VMware, learn about TSM on a Virtual Machine.

Step 4: Have the following information handy:

SAP Cost Object or your Student ID for the $15.00 charge if you choose the Standard service.
Hostname of the machine

Step 5 : Register for your TSM account.

You will receive an email with the information you need for your next steps to start the backup process.
