MIT Cable Television: Off-campus Connections
MIT Cable Television provides the following video connections to off-campus locations:
- Harvard University - two way, broadcast quality microwave
- MIT Lincoln Laboratory - two way, MPEG / IP
- Verizon Television Operations Center (TVOC) Boston- one way, broadcast quality fiber
Verizon TVOC provides access to satellite uplinks and long distance video transport. Verizon TVOC is used for MIT's Medialink service through which video interviews and presentations are sent to television news services and media outlets around the world.
