MIT Cable Television: MyInfoTV
Overview
My Info TV is MIT Cable's free events promotion channel that shows "your message, your way!" My InfoTV enables you to design your own message slides, including your own design and layout choices of colors, fonts, picture and multimedia elements.

Messages are restricted to announcements of events, meetings, activities and information for the MIT community.
My Info Tv plays 24/7 on MIT channel 12.

Using MyInfoTV
- Use our MyInfoTV template [ Powerpoint required] as a general guide to laying out your message.
- Add any design templates, background colors, clip art, fonts, animations, logos, video, multimedia elements, etc. Do what you can to make your message unique and give it visual appeal so that it stands out. For ideas, see sample messages [ Powerpoint required].
- Put your message inside the TV outline box. This border indicates the "safe area" that can be displayed on most television sets.
- You can remove the TV outline box by clicking on it and pressing the Delete key.
- Email your completed slide as a file attachment to MyInfoTv@mit.edu.

Suggestions
- Use our template [ Powerpoint required]. Click on the link and Open into PowerPoint or Save to Disk for later use.
- Design elements included inside the TV outline box will be visible on correctly adjusted television sets.
- Areas outside the TV outline box can be used as a decorative border area, but may not be visible on all tv sets.
- If you want your message to be legible, do not use fonts smaller than 28 points.
- Avoid saturated colors, especially red. Pastels work well.
- Do not use white backgrounds.
