About Calendaring at MIT

IS&T offers two central calendaring systems, Exchange and MIT TechTime™. The MIT Events Calendar also provides a consolidated listing of events taking place on the MIT campus and its off-campus locations.

Exchange:

Exchange is Microsoft's integrated email and calendaring solution. MIT's enterprise-wide Exchange email and calendaring service is currently being rolled out to departments, labs and centers.

MIT TechTime™:

MIT TechTime™ is an enterprise-wide personal calendaring system, based on Oracle Calendar, which runs on a central, secure server.

Note: IS&T is transitioning the MIT TechTime™ calendaring service to Microsoft Exchange. Retirement of MIT TechTime™ is scheduled for June 2010. Beginning in January 2010, new MIT TechTime™ accounts will be issued only to those who are in departments awaiting a transition to Exchange. For more information, see the MIT TechTime™ Overview.
