What is OWA?
Outlook Web Access (OWA) is a web application that provides email and calendaring access for Exchange users. It is similar to the WebMail system for IMAP users. If you're not sure which email sytem you use, see: Q: How do I tell if my email is on the Exchange email server or the IMAP email server?.
OWA Premium vs. Light
There are two versions of Outlook Web Access, Premium and Light. Both are accessible from the same address: https://owa.mit.edu. Which one you will use is determined by your operating system and web browser. Premium offers more features, but is only available when accessed using Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher on a Windows platform. Light offers limited functionality on other supported web browsers and platforms. For more information, see: Q: What features in OWA Premium are not available with OWA Light?.
