About Software and Hardware Purchasing
IS&T provides services to help the community get and use software at MIT, either at no cost or through discount programs. It also provides needs analysis and pre-purchase support for MIT students, faculty, and staff interested in buying a computer or computer accessories.
Purchasing Software:
IS&T provides many software packages via direct download, CD-ROM, or other method. Some are provided at no cost and some require purchase. If a purchase is required, we can help you determine how best to acquire the software you need.
Purchasing Hardware:
MIT community members are eligible to buy from MIT-custom catalogs offered by Apple, Dell, and GovConnection (MIT's vendor partner for other hardware, software, and accessories) through eCAT3.
