Data Center Physical Characteristics
MIT's building W91 was renovated in 1983 to provide a new data center facility.
IS&T made significant changes to the floor plan in 2006 and plans are underway to upgrade the physical infrastructure in 2007.
Footprint: 6,500 square feet
Electrical: One 225 KVA Mitsubishi UPS feeding two 150 KVA transformers to power panels in the Data Center. These transformers were upgraded from 112KVA in April 2006.
In January 2007 there will be an additional 300 KVA power to the Data Center for Collocation.
