Overview

Information Services & Technology offers avenues for members of the MIT community to obtain a variety of software under a volume license agreement.

While these special licenses can make it easier for you to obtain many popular applications, be aware that volume license software will often have unique requirements and/or restrictions. MIT certificates may be required in order to access some areas of this site, and some products may be supported only through IS&T Help Desks or directly from the manufacturer.

Thursday 1 - 3 P.M.

You may pick up software that you have ordered during the business hours stated above. Otherwise, you may schedule an appointment by sending email to vsls-help@mit.edu.

Dreamweaver Web page authoring software Note: There is no support for the CS3 version offered by IS&T at this time. Dreamweaver 8 is the version that is currently supported and recommended (read more about this version).

Special Discount Software

Microsoft Select Agreement
MIT Information Services & Technology belongs to Microsoft's Select Licensing Program, so that MIT departments, labs and centers can purchase Microsoft products (e.g., Microsoft Office, Visual Studio, Windows XP Professional) at steeply discounted rates.

Adobe
Adobe product discount options are available for MIT-owned equipment and for MIT students.

CLC bio (Bioinformatics software)
An additional discount over published academic pricing [ Certificates required] is available for MIT users of CLC bio, a bioinformatics sequencing suite.

STATA GradPlan
STATA Data Analysis and Statistical Software can be purchased at an educational discount directly from STATA and VSLS will distribute the media and license codes. Click on the MIT link on the STATA GradPlan site to place your order.
