Calling Card Services
MIT IS&T Telephone Services offers calling card services through two vendors, Qwest and MobileSphere. Both have discounted rates that have been negotiated for MIT. Qwest is only for use by MIT departments, labs and centers. MobileSphere is also available for faculty and staff personal use.
Qwest Calling Cards
IS&T Telephone Services offers Qwest calling cards for use by MIT departments, labs and centers. Qwest calling Cards must be assigned to a specific MIT Cost Object. Summary of the usage charges will appear on your monthly Detail Transaction Report (DTR) and you may also obtain detail of charges through the data warehouse.
Before traveling abroad verify international access phone numbers by calling Qwest customer service at 1.877.375.4448 (within the U.S.) or by going to the Qwest International Dialing Guide.

To obtain a Qwest Calling Card: fill out the Qwest calling card request form.
MobileSphere Calling Cards
For faculty and staff personal use, or where the Qwest MIT calling card may not be appropriate, IS&T offers MobileSphere calling card services. MobileSphere provides domestic and international coverage in 92 countries. The service can be accessed directly from a registered cell or home phone, or from hotel and pay phones using the MobileSphere calling-card feature.
