Rates and Purchase Information
The MIT cell phone rates are proprietary information, and therefore only appear on the vendors MIT ordering web site. Alternatively, customers can call or email the Account Executive for the MIT rates.

In order to maximize savings across the Institute, MIT has developed policies and guidelines for departmental purchase and use of cellular phones.
Departmental purchases must be made with an MIT credit card, otherwise please create a requisition using SAPweb for your purchase.
International Cell Phones and Service
All major carriers offer international cell phone service, but provide it in different ways. For further information, see the International Cell Phone Stock Answer.
International Wireless Long Distance Service
MIT has negotiated an agreement with MobileSphere CellularLD to provide reduced international wireless long distance calling rates for MIT students and staff, when calling from their registered cellular phones.
Cell Phone Rentals from IS&T
IS&T offers Verizon Wireless Cellular Telephone rentals to the MIT community.

Cellular dead zone in your MIT office? T-Mobile Hotspot Enabled mobile phones running BlackBerry or Windows Mobile operating systems work anywhere on campus where there is MIT Wireless Coverage, providing a seamless transition between the MIT wireless network and the T-Mobile network! See the T-Mobile web page for more information.
Note: Non-smartphone devices may not be able to connect to the MIT Wi-Fi network.
