Preferred Vendor Training

Overview

IS&T Training Services has established a referral policy with local training organizations. We'll be happy to help match your interests with their courses and schedules. In many instances, we'll even handle all the registration procedures for you.

Preferred Non-MIT Vendors
The Boston Consortium for Higher Education Services is a coalition of 15 local schools (including MIT) working together in a wide variety of areas to share ideas and gain economies of scale. The Consortium's IT Training Group selected two training companies to serve as Preferred Vendors -- outside training resources to help Consortium schools meet IT training needs they cannot fulfill on their own. These vendors were thoroughly screened and evaluated by the Consortium for both high quality instructors and materials, convenient locations, and excellent educational pricing.

Preferred Vendor Training

To take advantage of our referral service and assure low prices for you and future MIT trainees:

1. Make sure IS&T doesn't already offer the course you want (see our Training Catalog).
2. Look through the course listings of our Preferred Non-MIT Vendors:
   • CompuWorks Systems, Inc.
   • New Horizons Computer Learning Centers
     
     If you find something you'd like to take, contact IS&T Training Services (617-253-7685) and we'll arrange for your enrollment and payment.
     
     Note: Do not register yourself directly with the vendor or you may miss the opportunity to enjoy our special pricing.
3. If you still can't find what you're looking for, contact the IS&T Training Registrar (617-253-7685) for information about other possibilities.
