Custom 404
Athena locker owners have the capability of using custom 404 pages on their web sites. An error #404 is generated when a visitor attempts to access an URL that does not exist. This error can happen by clicking on a link pointing to a file that has moved, or by mistyping the file's URL in the browser location bar. The web server is unable to deliver the file and simply announces the error to the site visitor, with no site context and without providing any further assistance.
By implementing a customized 404 page that incorporates your site's appearance and functionalities:
- Your site visitors can find their way back into your site's navigation and search features.
- You no longer need to maintain legacy redirect pages in obsolete directories that accumulate as your site structure evolves and pages move away from their original locations.
Athena locker owners can implement custom 404 pages by following these directions.
