About this Version
MIT uses TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager) for its backup and restore services. TSM is an application that lets you back up and restore files to and from your computer, over the MIT network or via the Internet, to a secure server that IS&T manages.
- Intended only for use on private Athena or Ubuntu workstations; should not be used on debathena-cluster machines
- Unlike other Athena applications, you do need to install TSM yourself
32-bit version known issues:
- You will need to install the following Ubuntu packages if they are not already present: ksh, libstdc++6.
- Not yet officially supported on Ubuntu by IBM, although it is known to work if you follow these installation instructions.
64-bit version known issues:
- You will need to install the following Ubuntu packages if they are not already present: ksh, ia32-libs, libstdc++6.

How to obtain
This software is made available free of charge to authorized members of the MIT community.
System requirements
Athena machine running debathena-workstation, debathena-login-graphical, debathena-login or debathena-standard or non-Athena Ubuntu machine. Not intended for use on debathena-cluster machines.
