Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) recently upgraded MIT’s remote access Virtual Private Network (VPN) client software. The Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility client allows MIT community members to securely connect to MITnet from any device, wherever they are, at any time. The latest version of the AnyConnect client contains fixes related to the recently announced KRACK security vulnerabilities in current wireless encryption standards (WPA2).

Users who have not installed the update will be automatically upgraded the next time they connect to MIT’s VPN.

Alternatively, users can download the latest version of the AnyConnect client from the IS&T software grid.

A list of known issues with the AnyConnect client at MIT can be found in the IS&T Knowledge Base.

If you have any questions or concerns, contact the IS&T Service Desk at, online, or 617.253.1101.
