MIT Sites is a platform where MIT faculty, staff, and students can create department, research, and personal websites. MIT Sites is powered by CampusPress using the WordPress framework.
IS&T maintains a pool of computing equipment available for loan to eligible MIT students, faculty, and staff who are traveling outside of the United States. IS&T recommends leaving your standard MIT-issued and personally owned equipment at home and using loaner equipment when traveling internationally.
macOS is Apple's operating system that is included with Macintosh computer systems. Learn more.
Licensing
macOS Sonoma is available from the Apple App Store for all to use.
Installation
This is a preconfigured Windows 11 Virtual Machine that contains Windows updates, MIT configuration (site certificate), security patches, and base software.
Note: If you have a machine that uses the M1 processor you will not be able to run one of the IS&T-configured Windows 11 Virtual Machines.

Slack Enterprise Grid is a messaging and collaboration tool for teams, groups, and individuals. Members of a workspace in Slack can direct message individuals or create conversation channels for topics, projects, and groups. Start a voice or video call with any other members of your workspace directly within Slack. Share your screen to show your teammates exactly what you see on your computer. Learn more.

LastPass is a password management system. Access data and passwords via Windows, Mac OS X, and mobile native clients, as well as any web browser. LastPass also allows for shared password folders with customized permissions and secure notes for digital recordkeeping.

IS&T provides access to Duo, a two-factor authentication application that leverages landlines and smartphones as an "Approve" or "Deny" system to identify users. Two-factor authentication is an effective way of safeguarding against security attacks, particularly related to financial data.
Duo is a self-service web application for Touchstone-enabled web applications at MIT. Integration with other applications is also available.

Dropbox is a file hosting service that offers 500 GB of cloud storage, file synchronization, personal cloud, and client software. Access your cloud data as though it was a folder on your local disk.
