We provide the collective expertise of both professional and student staff, and will triage and re-route issues to other services areas when necessary.

Forgotten passwords
If you forget your MIT Kerberos account password, you must visit the Service Desk in person during the walk-in hours.

Hard drives and data retrieval
Operating systems and components sometimes fail. If you find yourself in this unfortunate situation, drop off your computer with us and we can attempt to retrieve your data. If your hard drive or other component is beyond repair, we can order and install a replacement part (for Apple, Dell, and Lenovo machines).



Getting started

Visit the Service Desk in the Atlas Service Center, Building E17-106.

Walk-in hours: 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday, excluding Institute holidays
