To support and enable MIT's rapid shift to a hybrid learning environment for the fall term, Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) is providing a range of IT resources to enable community members to create the rich collaborations fundamental to the MIT experience.

IS&T is pleased to announce the availability of Adobe Creative Cloud to all MIT students, who will have access to the same collection of Adobe creative software and cloud services available to MIT faculty and staff.

New Touchstone-enabled Adobe accounts will be created tonight for all students, as well as faculty and staff not yet using MIT's license. MIT faculty and staff who previously accessed MIT's Adobe Creative Cloud license using an MIT email address and a password will be converted to Touchstone-enabled accounts. The process is expected to be complete within 24 hours.

You will receive an email from Adobe when your account is ready to use. Current account holders using Creative Cloud storage will receive instructions from Adobe for migrating assets to the new account.

Beginning Friday, August 28, all MIT students, faculty, and staff can access the full suite of Adobe Creative Cloud by entering an @mit.edu address at adobe.com and authenticating through Touchstone.

MIT’s Adobe Creative Cloud license includes:

  • Photoshop
  • Illustrator
  • InDesign
  • Acrobat DC
  • Premiere Pro
  • After Effects
  • Animate
  • XD (Experience Design)
  • Dreamweaver
  • Dimension
  • Cloud storage, and more

For existing Creative Cloud account holders

If you already have an Adobe Creative Cloud account using your @mit.edu address (whether purchased yourself or provided by MIT), you will see two options when you log in to adobe.com:

  • Personal account - This is your old account, using your email address and password.
  • Company or school account - This is your new, Touchstone-enabled MIT account.

If your old account was provided by MIT, it will no longer have access to software. If you use Creative Cloud storage, follow the instructions provided to migrate Creative Cloud assets from the old account to your new account. If you paid for your old account, it will continue working as long as your subscription remains current.
