To help mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 and best support MIT community members as they engage in activities remotely, Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) is pleased to announce that IS&T has increased its capacity for BeyondTrust’s (formerly Bomgar) Secure Remote Support software, and will begin offering the service to all IT support providers today, free of charge.
BeyondTrust’s Secure Remote Support software allows IT support providers to conduct secure remote screen-sharing sessions with members of the community, to help perform technical troubleshooting.
IS&T recently transitioned our traditional virtualized appliance to the cloud in a move that added both additional capacity and additional security through the integration of Touchstone authentication. IT partners who currently use this software have referred to it as a “game-changer” for providing remote IT support to faculty, staff, and students who have shifted to working remotely. IS&T is excited to extend the availability of this tool to our IT Partners community.
