think-cell is available at no cost from the vendor to all academic institutions. Current MIT students, faculty, and staff may request access for academic and non-profit purposes. To access think-cell:

Spirion (formerly Identity Finder)

Spirion locates sensitive data elements such as Social Security numbers, credit card numbers, bank account data, and passwords. It lets you securely delete/encrypt files or redact the particular fields. It searches data in files, emails, browser data, and system areas.

Spirion is made available free of charge to MIT faculty, staff, and graduate students on MIT-owned computers.

JMP Academic Licensing for Students and Faculty

JMP allows you to create and refine graphs interactively or quickly build a new graph using clickable, drag-and-drop variables. You no longer have to switch between windows to make comparisons and explore data. Learn more.

Licensing

Free JMP licenses are now available for academic use directly through the vendor for MIT students and faculty.

The Student and Faculty Editions have all the functionality we had with the product available in our previous license.

Sophos Anti-Virus

Sophos Central detects and cleans up viruses, Trojans, worms, spyware and adware, as well as other potentially unwanted applications. It continuously scans, notifies you of threats, and provides virus definitions and software updates regularly when you are connected to the Internet. You do not need to be on campus to receive these regular updates.

Sophos Central is licensed for use by current MIT faculty, staff, students, and affiliates for use on MIT-owned computers.
