How to obtain
With the release of release of 26.0, macOS Tahoe is now ready for testing on MIT devices. There are currently no known issues.
Licensing
macOS Tahoe is available from the Apple App Store.
Installation
Microsoft 365
Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) is a suite of products and services that includes Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and more. MIT community members can access the platform by logging into office.com using their valid @mit.edu email address and authenticating through Touchstone.
Licensing
MIT licenses the Microsoft 365 platform for use by all active MIT Kerberos account holders who authenticate to office.com via Touchstone.
Microsoft 365 online
MIT Sites (CampusPress)
MIT Sites is a platform where MIT faculty, staff, and students can create department, research, and personal websites. MIT Sites is powered by CampusPress using the WordPress framework.
Secure Devices for International Travel
IS&T maintains a pool of computing equipment available for loan to eligible MIT students, faculty, and staff who are traveling outside of the United States. IS&T recommends leaving your standard MIT-issued and personally owned equipment at home and using loaner equipment when traveling internationally.

How to obtain
With the release of 15.1, macOS Sequoia is now ready for MIT devices. If you have already upgraded to macOS Sequoia, please ensure you have patched to 15.1.
Licensing
macOS Sequoia is available from the Apple App Store.
Installation
Windows 11: Virtual Machine
This is a preconfigured Windows 11 Virtual Machine that contains Windows updates, MIT configuration (site certificate), security patches, and base software.
Note: If you have a machine that uses the M1 processor you will not be able to run one of the IS&T-configured Windows 11 Virtual Machines.

Google Workspace for Education (formerly G Suite)
MIT Google Workspace for Education is a service that allows members of the MIT community to collaborate with each other, separate from their personal Google accounts. It is provided free of charge upon request.

Slack Enterprise Grid
Slack Enterprise Grid is a messaging and collaboration tool for teams, groups, and individuals. Members of a workspace in Slack can direct message individuals or create conversation channels for topics, projects, and groups. Start a voice or video call with any other members of your workspace directly within Slack. Share your screen to show your teammates exactly what you see on your computer. Learn more.
