IS&T supports WebEx and MIT VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) audio and web conferencing tools and makes them available to the MIT community.
Benefits and key features
- WebEx provides audio, video, and text options. Accessed via the web, participants may share presentations, applications, or web sites. Any computer with an IS&T-recommended web browser can schedule audio conference calls for any number of participants. Mobile devices are supported for joining in, but not for scheduling/hosting meetings.
- MIT VoIP allows for conference calls of up to six participants using a VoIP phone.
WebEx participants may call in at a scheduled time or request that the WebEx system call an attendee by providing a phone number. To set up WebEx, go to the WebEx login website.
MIT VoIP conference calls
For conference calls of up to six participants, see MIT VoIP Telephone User Guide to learn how to set up a call on your own.
