Benefits and key features

  • Webex provides audio, video, and text options. Accessed via the web, participants may share presentations, applications, or web sites. Any computer with an IS&T-recommended web browser can schedule audio conference calls for any number of participants. Mobile devices are supported for joining in, but not for scheduling/hosting meetings.
  • Zoom is a video communication tool for video and audio conferencing, collaboration, chat, and webinars across mobile devices, desktops, telephones, and room systems.
  • MITvoip allows for conference calls of up to six participants using a VoIP phone.

Getting started

Webex participants may call in at a scheduled time or request that the Webex system call an attendee by providing a phone number. To set up Webex, go to the Webex login website.

Schedule, host, or attend meetings by logging into the Zoom online interface.
