Prisma Access GlobalProtect VPN Client

The Prisma Access VPN provides a secure connection between your computing device and the cloud VPN gateway using the GlobalProtect VPN client, helping provide added privacy and security for your computing activities as well as the ability to access protected resources on MITnet that are only accessible from devices on MITnet.

GlobalProtect replaces MIT’s legacy Cisco AnyConnect client, which has been retired.

Service Desk

IS&T offers 24/7 phone and email-based IT support to all members of the MIT community by leveraging secure, industry-leading remote support tools (when required and with user permission) to help troubleshoot and resolve IT problems in real-time from any location.

Campus DAS (Distributed Antenna System)

MIT has partnered with AT&T to build a neutral-host Distributed Antenna System (DAS) on the MIT campus. The DAS is a network of antenna nodes connected to a common radio frequency source via a transport medium that provides improved cellular coverage and capacity within a building.

The DAS is open to all wireless carriers. IS&T is continuously working with wireless carriers to make coverage and capacity improvements on campus.

CrowdStrike Falcon provides next-generation endpoint protection, threat intelligence, and targeted attack prevention that helps to secure Windows, Mac, and Linux systems by looking for Indicators of Attack (IoA) instead of detecting known malware and Indicators of Compromise (IoC). Learn more.

CrowdStrike Falcon is licensed for all current MIT users for academic and administrative use on MIT-owned and personal machines.

Citrix Web and Desktop

Citrix allows authorized users to run applications in a Windows-based remote environment. Access applications, desktops, and data easily and securely from any device, including tablets, PCs, and Macs. Mac users can access Windows-only MIT enterprise applications such as SAPgui. Note: An MIT Kerberos account is required to use the Citrix app. MIT VPN is required for off-campus connections.
