Zoom Rooms for Community Use

The Office of the Provost, in collaboration with the Office of Campus Planning, is piloting a new program of sharing meeting space across campus. IS&T has partnered with Zoom to equip these spaces with Zoom Rooms solutions offering a consistent experience across diverse locations.

Use of these spaces is available to MIT faculty, students, and staff through reservations made via the Spaces feature within the MIT Atlas mobile application.

MIT ID

Please note: IS&T periodically sends an email entitled "Action Required to Maintain MBTA Benefits on MIT ID Card" to users who have MIT ID cards at or approaching an eight-year limit. If you received this email and use your MIT ID card to access MBTA benefits, such as the subway or local bus, visit one of the 10 card kiosks on campus to print a new card to continue using your MBTA benefits.

An MIT ID is a digital or physical credential enabling community members to authenticate themselves to card readers on and off campus.

How to Obtain

Licensing

MIT Cloud Accounts

IS&T manages MIT's enterprise agreements with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure. By obtaining and managing accounts for these cloud computing platforms through IS&T, MIT community members simplify their billing while gaining access to a higher level of technical support than is otherwise available to individual customers. The MIT Cloud Accounts portal provides community members with an easy way to request and manage AWS, GCP, and Azure accounts, while providing helpful reporting on billing and usage.

Self-Service Accessories

IS&T provides IT accessories for instructors to use in MIT classrooms, as well as ethernet cables for staff and students, through a set of self-service vending machines in several convenient locations on campus. These machines also provide KF94 face masks to any MIT community member who has an active MIT ID.

These supplies are provided at no charge. Tap your digital MIT ID on your phone or your MIT ID card to the machine’s reader and select the item you need.

Professional Audio Production

MIT Audiovisual Services has moved from the Division of Student Life and is now part of Information Systems and Technology.

IS&T provides an on-campus audio studio and editing room outfitted with a professional-grade vocal booth. The studio may be used to record interviews or conversations in-person, over the phone, or via the web.

Post-production services ensure that your media is professionally captured, edited, and finalized for publication.
