User Profile Wizard

User Profile Wizard (Corporate Edition) is profile migration software that allows you to move a local account to a domain account in under 30 seconds, regardless of profile size. This is useful when joining a machine to the WIN domain that already has users. It uses a mix of ACL editing, file ownership changes, and links on disk to leave files where they are but make them accessible to both users.

Licensing

VMware Workstation Pro is licensed for both Academic and Administrative use by the MIT community on both MIT-owned or personal computers.
Note: Lincoln Lab is licensed for use on MIT-owned equipment only.

Citrix Workspace

Citrix Workspace is a universal client for accessing desktop applications via a server solution. MIT's Citrix Workspace implementation allows Mac users to access Windows-only enterprise applications, such as BrioQuery, CCure, Adonis, and SAPgui which are hosted on the MIT Citrix Workspace servers. Learn more.

Windows is the operating system designed and produced by Microsoft Corporation.

Note: Apple’s latest M1 processor restricts the running of virtual machines, e.g., running Windows via VMWare Fusion. If you have a machine that uses the M1 processor you will not be able to run a Virtual Machine and/or Windows 10 or 11.
